Painting for Pure Joy

Painting with Watercolors has become a passion for me. There are so many ways to approach a painting. You can see that I love the outdoors-God’s creation. Most of my works are vivid with color and express emotions. I am amazed by the details observed close up as well has sweeping vistas of land or sea.

Most of my work is done in studio where I can contemplate and plan and all my household tools are readily available. For me watercolor is a medium where I can play and experiment for process, texture and effect. I love to teach what I have learned to others. Observation is a key skill for representational work.

My hope is that the viewer will be inspired and encouraged. We really need to guard and protect as well as observe and enjoy what is good and precious and beautiful in our environments. The sacred beauty is everywhere. Today there is goodness and there is always hope for tomorrow.
